How much is too much?

Many people rationalize their drinking and driving by saying they only had beer or wine. A 12-ounce can of beer, a 5-ounce glass of wine, and a 1.5-ounce shot of hard liquor all have about the same amount of alcohol.  The body needs one hour to process each ounce of liquor. It does not take much to reach the .08 threshold that is mandated as intoxicated by all states. Under the age of 21, it is illegal to drink and illegal to drive after consuming alcohol.
