weakness in the thumb, index and middle fingers which result from
the media nerve being irritated at the wrist.
This can be caused by
the activities required of railway workers as any condition that
exerts pressure on the media nerve at the wrist can cause Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome. Carpal Tunnel is a repetitive stress injury
and can be caused by repetitive work or repetitive maneuvers or
vibrating equipment.
